Here are 14 restaurants, businesses that have recently opened in Stanislaus County
Just over a month into 2026, new businesses are thriving across Stanislaus County. From fun to footwear, to mostly food, here is a roundup of what has opened over the last few months.
Vintage Faire Mall is a good place to start. Viral social media sensation K-Ramyun opened on the second floor right outside of Macy’s at the end of November. The restaurant has a colorful wall of ramen where diners can choose a pack and cook it themselves.
On the lower level, just outside the main building, is the area’s only Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, where diners can select sushi and other Japanese fare from a conveyor belt while being served by robot waiters. The restaurant opened Nov. 14.
Foot Locker opened a new space on the lower level at the end of January, and it’s three times larger than the original store.
Don’t forget to pick up a new Labubu at the Pop Mart Robo Shop. The bright yellow vending machine is the only official Pop Mart retail outlet in the region and opened in October.
More offerings are coming, including a Lululemon pop-up store and the highly anticipated Candeeland play space, scheduled to open Feb. 20.
Across town, several new food options are now open, including the comic book-themed Crave Subs at the North Point Landing shopping center on McHenry, Pho Island in Roseburg Square, Surefire Pizza Co. on Claus Road at Sylvan Avenue, King Cones in McHenry Village and Cheesesteak & Burger Factory inside the Shell gas station on Oakdale Road just north of Briggsmore Avenue.
After all those new food offerings, head over to The Twisted Pig to have a cocktail in its “secret” Harry Potter-themed bar called Speakeasy 9¾, which opened at the end of October. The restaurant plans to keep this theme for the next week before switching to a new theme that has not been officially announced but previous reporting suggests may be “Golden Girls.”
In Turlock, the area’s newest Nation’s Giant Hamburgers opened next to the FoodMaxx on Countryside Drive in December. Just up the road, collectible and toy novelty store Miniso opened at the end of October. That same month, Play Turlock opened on Golden State Boulevard.
Elsewhere in the county, Saigon 2 opened its third location in the region, offering spring rolls, pho and other Vietnamese favorites in Ceres on Whitmore Avenue.
Boot Barn is having a grand opening this weekend in the space formerly occupied by Staples in the Crossroads at Riverbank shopping center, and farmers market favorite MatKat Cafe opened in Oakdale in November. The cafe serves its sought-after sourdough bakes in the space formerly occupied by Cottonwood Cafe.
