Sushi and Santa coming to Modesto’s Vintage Faire Mall. When they’ll be there
An opening date has been announced for Modesto’s newest sushi conveyor-belt restaurant.
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar will open in Vintage Faire Mall at 3401 Dale Road on Friday, Nov. 14. The lower-level suite is next to Men’s Warehouse and across from the Apple Store.
Along with sushi, ramen, tempura and desserts, the restaurant features a “Bikkura Pon” prize system, according to a news release. The system allows diners to earn rewards for every 15 plates placed in the disposal slot at their table.
On grand opening day, the first 150 customers will receive Kura-branded T-shirts and other items, according to the release. Five guests who are Kura Rewards members and dine at the restaurant between Nov. 14-17 will be selected to win “Kura Sushi for a year.”
Santa also coming to Vintage Faire Mall
Santa’s coming to town, Modestans, and he’s not waiting until Christmas.
Nov. 7 through Christmas Eve, Santa will be at Vintage Faire Mall for free visits. Photo packages will be available for purchase.
The mall recommends booking your visit ahead of time, according to a release, to reduce wait times. Slots can be booked at whereissanta.com.
On select days, leashed dogs and cats can be brought between 4 and 7 p.m. for photos with Santa. The days are Nov. 10, Nov. 17, Nov. 24, Dec. 1 and Dec. 8.
In partnership with Autism Speaks, the mall is hosting Santa Care for children with special needs on Dec. 7 between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Reservations are required.
