Lululemon coming to Modesto? Here are 7 Vintage Faire Mall updates
You know what I love about Vintage Faire Mall? It’s its own little world within Modesto and is always evolving.
If I wrote only about things happening in the mall, I would still have a lot to write about.
When Vintage Faire’s marketing manager, Amy MacPhail, sent me a tip that Foot Locker was relocating and expanding, I stopped by to check it out. During my trip, I saw several other stores coming and going.
Here are seven changes happening at Vintage Faire Mall:
Foot Locker expanding
This week, a Foot Locker store will open on the lower level of Vintage Faire across from Foot Locker Kids near Dick’s Sporting Goods. Foot Locker’s previous location was on the lower level across from PINK.
The new unit is around three times larger than the previous space and will introduce a design that has been rolled out to around 30 select Foot Lockers nationwide, according to a news release. It includes an expanded assortment of athletic footwear, apparel and accessories.

Lululemon opening pop-up shop
Vintage Faire will soon get a Lululemon pop-up, according to the athletic apparel store’s website.
From what I understand, a Lululemon pop-up is a temporary store that is, or at east at one point was, used to test the market in a region. According to its career page, Lululemon is contracted with Vintage Faire through April 2027.
Now, I’m speculating, but if you look at the Google Map of the location where Lululemon’s website shows the store will be, it gives a strong indication that it may go in an empty unit under Daniel’s Jewelers, which I noticed was being prepared during my visit.
MacPhail informed me she cannot confirm my theory at this time, but did say there will be a new-to-market tenant going into that space.
What do you think, readers? Am I right about where the Lululemon is going?
Candeeland opening soon
In August, I wrote about a candy-themed children’s playground opening inside Vintage Faire. The mall will be home to Candeeland’s first Northern California location.
The play park will have candy-themed play structures, climbing walls, a “ninja course,” a toddler area, a café, party rooms and a candy store.
At the time I wrote the first story, there was no indication of when Candeeland would open. While an exact date is still to be determined, MacPhail said it will open within the next 30 days.
Other Vintage Faire Mall updates
There are some updates MacPhail was unable to give details on, but she did give a bit of general information.
NileRise, a formal dress and shoe store near Dick’s Sporting Goods, will close Jan. 27 and a new tenant will be in that space “shortly,” MacPhail said.
A current Vintage Faire tenant is moving spaces to an open unit next to K-Ramyun.
Bob’s Giant Burgers, across from Potato Stop in the food court, has closed due to its lease expiring.
Lastly is a tip from one of my colleagues who frequents the independent MAC Cosmetics store on the lower level of the mall. One of MAC’s makeup artists informed her the store will close Jan. 31 and the artists will now work at the MAC counter inside Macy’s.
