Many toys at Miniso; new store opens in Turlock. Find out when and where
“Life is for Fun” is the motto for Miniso, the popular collectible and toy variety store about to open in Turlock.
This will be the first store in the city and the second location in Stanislaus County. The cheerful store offers primarily blind-box collectibles featuring characters and brands like Sanrio, One Piece, Kewpie, Disney and Nintendo, among many others.
The store will be at 2701 Countryside Drive, in the space previously occupied by Rue 21 and in between Rack Room Shoes and Torrid.
According to Anthony Simms, economic development director and communications officer for the city of Turlock, the store will be 6,500 square feet and employ seven to 10 people. Job postings are currently on Indeed.com.
Simms said there will be a soft opening Oct. 27 with a grand opening celebration Nov. 1. The event will kick off with a ribbon cutting and special items and discounts for the first 50 shoppers including 20% of purchases. All shoppers will receive 10% off during the opening weekend.
Miniso was founded in China in 2013 and has close to 7,000 stores worldwide. It has expanded rapidly in the United States in the last few years.
The brand touts three core principles: offering high quality goods at affordable prices, designing items to inspire joy, and fostering lighthearted experiences while shopping the large variety of items in store.
This county’s first Miniso store opened at Vintage Faire Mall in August 2023.
Though popular for its blind-box collectibles that are exclusive to the brand, Miniso also has a large variety of beauty, stationary, plush toys, international snacks, homewares and other character-branded items.
The store will be open daily from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
