Where can I watch fireworks in Stanislaus County? Check out Fourth of July shows

The Fourth of July around the corner.

Whether you’re grilling by the pool or cheering on a local parade, the night is sure to end with fireworks lighting up the Modesto sky.

On Reddit, a Modesto user asked: “Firework displays for (Fourth of July)? Any places in or around Modesto that do fireworks displays for free or relatively low costs?”

Here’s where you can catch a glimpse:

Where can I watch Fourth of July fireworks in Stanislaus County?

Modesto

Where: John Thurman Field, 601 Neece Drive, Modesto

When: Thursday, July 3, at 6:40 p.m.

After the Modesto Nuts game against the Fresno Grizzlies, fans can stick around for a fireworks show.

Available tickets for the baseball game range from $14 to $20.50, depending on the seat.

According to the Modesto Nuts website, only service animals will be allowed into the stadium.

Turlock

Where: Don Pedro Lake

When: Friday, July 4, at 9:30 p.m.

The day-use entrance fee for a vehicle at Don Pedro Lake is $20.

There are additional fees for camping and other activities, according to the Don Pedro Recreation Agency.

Oakdale

Where: Downtown Oakdale

When: Friday, July 4, at 11 a.m.

On the Fourth of July, Oakdale will come alive with its annual Independence Day parade and fireworks show.

It will include a full day of festive events happening throughout the city.

Where can I buy fireworks in Modesto?

Several fireworks retailers — including TNT Fireworks, Phantom Fireworks and Freedom Fireworks — has stands operating across Modesto through July 4.
