Below is a list of Modesto-area businesses and whether they’ll be open or closed on Friday, July 4.

Which Modesto-area grocery stores are open on Fourth of July?
The Modesto area is home to a variety of grocery stores, supermarkets and other retailers. Here are the major chains that will be open or closed Friday for the holiday:
- BevMo!: Open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Cost Less: Open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Costco: Closed.
- FoodMaxx: Open from 6 a.m. to midnight.
- O’Brien’s Market: Open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Raley’s/Bel Air: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Safeway: Open 5 a.m. to 2 a.m.
- Sprouts: Open 7 a.m to 10 p.m.
- Target: Open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Trader Joe’s: Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Vallarta Supermarkets: Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Walmart: Open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Winco: Open 24 hours.
Is Vintage Faire Mall open on July 4?
Vintage Faire Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 4.
However, individual restaurants and retailers can have different hours, so it’s best to contact them directly.
Are local pharmacies open on Independence Day?
Here’s how Independence Day will affect hours at local pharmacies and drugstores on Friday, July 4:
- CVS: Store open 24 hours; pharmacy open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Rite Aid: Store open 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday; pharmacy closed.
- Walgreens: Store open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; pharmacy closed.
What’s closed on July 4 in Modesto?
Government offices, including the California Department of Motor Vehicles, U.S. Postal Service and public libraries will be closed on Friday, July 4, as well as most banks.
Other services, including trash pickup, will be delayed.
Package delivery companies including FedEx and UPS will be closed for the holiday.
