Modesto police have reopened Standiford Avenue in northwest Modesto after it was temporarily closed during a major-injury crash investigation.

A motorcycle and pickup truck collided Thursday afternoon on Standiford Avenue, near the intersection with Hahn Drive, Sgt. Pat Kimes said.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries but is expected to survive, Kimes said. Standiford was closed for about 30 to 45 minutes before being reopened.
