Latest facts on COVID-19 testing in Modesto area
Stanislaus County surpassed 10,000 positive tests for COVID-19 and reported six more deaths Monday, for a total of 169.
The latest deaths included four women and two men, all but one of them with underlying health conditions, a county spokesman said.
Two of them were between 61 and 70 years old; two were between 71 and 90; and the other two were in their 90s.
A total of 10,264 residents have tested positive, up 301 from Sunday, the county Health Services Agency reported. Another 58,887 have tested negative, and 9,589 are presumed recovered.
Monday’s positivity rate was 11.5%, down from 16.6% the day before. The rolling 14-day average stood at 16.8% and the seven-day average at 12.8%.
The positivity rate since data collection started stood at 14.8% on Monday.
The 2,611 total tests reported Monday was up substantially from recent weeks as the county continued to catch up with state data.
The county’s five hospitals reported 205 confirmed cases Monday, up from 197 on Sunday. Five percent of adult intensive-care beds were available Monday.
Most of the county’s detailed dashboard remained offline Monday, meaning no updates on age ranges and hometowns for the positive cases.

- San Joaquin County has 223 COVID-19-related deaths among 12,864 cases.
- Merced County has 70 deaths among 5,736 cases.
- Tuolumne County has 155 cases and two deaths.
- Mariposa County has 62 cases and two deaths.
As of Tuesday morning, there were 574,231 confirmed cases in California and 163,465 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University. There were 5,094,565 U.S. cases and 163,400 deaths.
