Speculation spreads about another Chipotle being built in Modesto. Is it true?

Modesto residents are speculating that a Chipotle Mexican Grill is being built on Oakdale Road in the Save Mart and In-N-Out Burger shopping center named The Marketplace.

After seeing construction in the area, Reddit users have gathered that it would be the chain restaurant’s fourth location in the city.

I cannot confirm or deny the rumors, but what I have been told by the company is this: “We are currently scheduled to open a new location in Modesto next year.”

No further details regarding location, or anything else, were shared.

If a Chipotle is going in that shopping center, the next closest one is about two miles away on Claribel Road in Riverbank.
