Pizza My Heart opens first Central Valley location. Where you can buy a slice
Good news, Central Valley residents: You no longer have to drive to the Bay Area or the coast for a slice and a shirt from Pizza My Heart. What once was a special treat when travelling is now in our region.
The beloved chain has opened its first location in the valley, in Tracy on Naglee Road, directly off Interstate 205. Previously, the nearest location was in Dublin.
Pizza My Heart was founded on Capitola Beach in 1981. The second location opened a few years later in downtown Santa Cruz.
Today, there are 29 locations along the coast, in the Bay Area and now in the Central Valley.
Pizza My Heart brings beach vibes to the valley
Not much at Tracy’s Pizza My Heart is different from the ones on the coast. All that is missing is the smell of the ocean.
The restaurant, decorated with wallpaper depicting the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and surfboard-shaped tables, offers slices and whole pies for dine-in, takeout and delivery.
T-shirts are available for $8 and come with a free slice. On their own, slices range from $5.25 to $6.50.
Pizza My Heart has gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Salads, desserts and snacks, including wings and breadsticks, also are available.
The restaurant is in a soft opening phase until next week, an employee said Thursday, Feb. 19. It is “currently open for limited days and hours,” a recorded message says when the restaurant is called.
Its permanent hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at 2682 Naglee Road, Suite 120.
