Both Riverbank Crossroads centers are getting new tenants. Staples being replaced
The Crossroads and Crossroads West shopping centers in Riverbank are getting news businesses.
Staples will close in Crossroads on Oct. 17, according to Riverbank Councilmember Luis Uribe, and a Boot Barn will replace it. The unit sits between Petco and Kohl’s.
“I worked for the print department last year and we are shocked it took this long for it to close,” one person commented on Uribe’s public post.
Despite the former employee’s statement that business was “bad,” The Modesto Bee could find no record of Staples filing for bankruptcy or evidence that the office supply chain is going out of business.
Across the street, Crossroads West has signed a lease with a popular restaurant chain.
Olive Garden is moving into a unit at the Claribel Road side of the shopping center near Raising Cane’s, according to a site plan from commercial real estate firm John Cumbelich & Associates. It will be the third location of the chain in Stanislaus County.
