Fall fun awaits with corn mazes, pumpkin patches at Modesto area farms. Here’s where, when

It’s time to harvest yourself some fun as the upcoming autumn brings fields of pumpkin patches and corn mazes to the Modesto region.

Large farms have opened, or are about to, for a host of activities to welcome the season. Most of the attractions are family-friendly.

Here’s a look at where to enjoy activities and find plenty of pumpkins:

DUTCH HOLLOW FARMS — Sept. 30-Oct. 31: There is a corn maze with other activities including a pumpkin patch, hamster wheels, hayrides, tricycle track, jump pad, super slide, zip lines and more. Gem mining and pony rides have additional charges. Admission is $13 Mondays-Fridays; $14 after 4 p.m. Fridays; $14 Saturdays-Sundays. DELL’OSSO FAMILY FARM — Oct. 1-31: The pumpkin farm in Lathrop offers its corn maze, haunted castle, carousel, children’s interactive pirate show, Dell’Osso Express Train, pony rides, Dell’Osso Speedway, animal zoo, pig races and more. Pumpkin patch and food court also will be open. Noon-7 p.m. Mondays-Fridays; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays. Admission is $18.95 Mondays-Thursdays; $24.95 Fridays; $27.95 Saturdays-Sundays; free ages 2 and under. FANTOZZI FARMS CORN MAZE & PUMPKIN PATCH — Oct. 1-31: This Patterson farm’s attractions include two mazes, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, cow train rides, corn cannons, a corn seed pit, a zombie paintball shooting range, a hay bale labyrinth, pig races and more. 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sundays. A haunted drive-thru attraction is open 7-10:30 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays; 7-9 p.m. Sundays. Cost is $12, free ages 2 and under for pumpkin patch; $25 per vehicle for haunted drive-thru. 2665 Sperry Ave. Patterson. www.fantozzifarms.com.

R.A.M. FARMS — Through Oct. 31: There will be a corn maze at R.A.M. Farms in Turlock. Freaky Flashlight Nights through the maze are held Fridays and Saturdays (take your own flashlights) beginning at dusk. Also on site is a scary shed, a tractor corral and hay maze. There will be a Halloween video shown nightly. There are a variety of pumpkins, and wandering the patch is free. Corn maze tickets are $8-$12. Open noon to dusk Mondays-Thursdays; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sundays. R.A.M. Farms Inc., 716 N. Daubenberger Road, Turlock. ramfarms.com.
