Truck crashes into house in east Modesto

A truck crashed into a house on Govannina Drive in Modesto on Saturday morning, but luckily the driver suffered only minor injuries and nobody in the house was hurt.

Authorities were called to the scene of the crash, 1240 Govannina Drive, at about 11:30 a.m.

The driver was traveling eastbound on Zuccaro Way when he apparently suffered a medical episode that caused him to crash into the house, according to Modesto Police Department officer Ryan Olson.

There were no passengers in the Toyota truck.

The driver suffered scrapes on his head, and did not require transport to a hospital, Olson said.

The collision took out a wall of the house.

Nobody inside the home was in the room at the time of the crash.

It was the second incident of a truck crashing into a house in the past few days. A truck crashed into a home on Otis Avenue on Thursday night.
