Pitman boys basketball holds off Beyer at Modesto City Classic

Pitman High boys basketball beat Beyer, 65-63, in the first round of the Modesto City Classic at Gregori High on Wednesday.

Senior Kyahn Issa had 13 points for the Pride and junior Jaeden Merchant added 12.

Patriots guard Jonny Lee had 21 points and senior guard Demarius Brown-Parks and sophomore forward Dewayne Thomas each had 11.

Action continues on Thursday and Friday and the championship is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Downey.

Enochs athletes to sign: Enochs seniors Jordan Brown-Mundey and Jaedyn Sanders will sign their National Letters of Intent on Friday in the school’s career center at 2:15 p.m. Brown Mundey will sign with Indiana Tech to play soccer while Sanders is signing with San Jose State to play soccer as well.

Enochs alum Alison Gallant recently finished her freshman season with the Spartans.
