Doug Farrow: Don’t have to be a refugee to be dangerous

Re “Paris terrorists weren’t even ISIS, or even Syrain” (Letters, Nov. 27): The writer seems to be much more expert on terrorists and much more informed than me. She must watch CNN every day, wherein I only watch Fox. She says the Paris attackers were “all” French or Belgian, except the one with the “fake” Syrian passport.

Let’s distinguish terrorists from refugees from immigrants. Truthfully, most Americans only wish all three to stay out of America. We already provide free jobs, free food and free money (food stamps). But we all still accept, not necessarily welcome, immigrants who come here legally.

We will not be able to distinguish refugees from terrorists if they leave their weapons home. But why lug them here, when they can get all they want in Chicago?

Major Nadal Hasan, a legal American resident, found it quite easy to murder a dozen soldiers at Ft. Hood. The bombing brothers of Boston found us easy pickings. They were not refugees either.

One question Fox regularly polls: “Do you feel safer now than you did seven years ago?” Any of the GOP candidates will be like soldiers compared to the Cub Scout we depend on now.
