Dewayne Terry: Trump will build the wall to keep this country great again

Re “How can anyone be proud of President Trump?” (Letters, July 26): The problem with your article is that you don’t get it. Just like Hillary didn’t understand what she was running against. What she was up against was people completely fed up with how the U.S. had been run for the past eight years. Barack Obama had a mission to divide this country, and by your account he succeeded.

President Trump did not do it, and to make that statement is asinine. The Russian nonsense is totally fake news. If anyone worked with the Russians, it was the Clintons. Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for a speech in Moscow when Hillary was Secretary of State. Nothing wrong with that, right? And, another asinine statement is that if we had a different president, then maybe the Republicans would be more successful in working with the Democrats.

Did the Democrats work with the Republicans when Obama was president? Of course they didn’t; in Obama’s own words, “Elections have consequences.”

So, you need to wake up and understand the national debt under Obama increased more that under all the other presidents combined. I love this country, the constitution and I strongly support building a wall to keep this country great again.
