A tip from Dollar General employees in Denair led to a DUI arrest Tuesday, June 2, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The employees noticed a driver was showing signs of impairment and called law enforcement, according to a Facebook post from the CHP. After an investigation, officers determined the driver was under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.293 — over three times the legal limit.

“A big thank you to the alert employees who spoke up,” the CHP said in the post. “Their actions may have prevented a serious crash and helped keep our community safe.”
