Police seek 2 more suspects in smash-and-grab robbery at Modesto jewelry store
The Modesto Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating two more suspects identified in what it calls a “takeover robbery” of a northwest Modesto jewelry store in May.
The robbery happened just before 6 p.m. May 18, when suspects rammed a red Mitsubishi through the doors of Sai Jewelers at Standiford Avenue and Sisk Road and stole a large quantity of jewelry.
The store was closing for the day and no customers were inside, only owners or employees, police said.
Police previously arrested four men in connection with the incident. On Tuesday, detectives announced they are now seeking:
Lamarr Blocker, 37, of Oakland
Cheyenne Duenas, 22, of Stockton
Investigators said five vehicles used in the crime have been recovered but they are still searching for a silver Kia that had no license plates at the time of the robbery.
