The fourth suspect in an armed robbery of a Ceres AM/PM and its customers was arrested at a downtown Modesto hotel on Thursday.

Modesto police got an anonymous tip that Patron Salvador, 18, of Ceres was at the Discovery Inn on Downey Avenue, according to Ceres police. Modesto police arrested him at the motel Thursday, then turned him over to Ceres detectives for questioning.

According to Ceres police, Salvador was armed with a gun when he and Aaron Araujo, 20, allegedly robbed the AM/PM on Mitchell Road on Feb. 23. Police said Salvador took money from the cash register while Araujo robbed two customers of their wallets and attempted to rob a third who hid his wallet while the suspects weren’t looking.

Officers previously arrested Araujo and two others, a 17-year-old Modesto resident and 18-year-old Mason Salazar of Ceres, who allegedly acted as the lookout and getaway driver.

The suspects have been booked on charges including robbery, conspiracy and weapons charges.
