Three arrested, one sought in armed robbery of Ceres AM/PM and its customers
Ceres Police have arrested three young men suspected of robbing a convenience store, as well as the customers inside, and are looking for a fourth suspect.
The robbery occurred on Feb. 23 at the AM/PM at 3939 Mitchell Road. Two men entered the store; one robbed the clerk at gunpoint while the other robbed two customers of their wallets, according to Sgt. Greg Yotsuya.
They attempted to rob a third customer of his wallet but “he hid it before they got to him,” Yotsuya said.
Two other suspects acted as a lookout and a getaway driver.
Detectives identified all four suspects in March and arrested two of them, a 17-year-old Modesto resident who allegedly acted as the lookout and 18-year-old Mason Salazer, of Ceres, who Yotsuya said is the suspected driver.
Aaron Araujo, 20, of Modesto, who allegedly robbed the customers, was arrested last week.
All have been charged with three counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery.
Yotsuya said the armed suspect who robbed the clerk has been identified as 18-year-old Patron Salvador, of Ceres.
“Patron is currently wanted for armed robbery and considered armed and dangerous,” according to a press release.
Yotsuya said detectives have been in contact with him but he refuses to turn himself in.
Anyone with information about Patron Salvador’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Matt Berlier at 209-538-5616.
