Stanislaus authorities seek boyfriend, two others, in death of woman found in car
Stanislaus County authorities are looking for three suspects in the death of a woman whose body was found last month north of Woodward Reservoir.
The sheriff’s office has an arrest warrant for Jose Manuel Gonzalez Silva, 30, of Stockton, who is suspected of killing 25-year-old Beranea Moreno, of Lodi, in what investigators are calling a brutal domestic assault. The suspect was Moreno’s boyfriend.
Moreno was found dead in her vehicle April 8 on the shoulder of Milton Road near Highway 4. An autopsy showed evidence she was slain in a domestic assault, said Det. Cory Brown of the Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators also are looking for Stockton residents Manuel Gonzalez and Ana Maria Miramontes de Ramirez, both 53. Those two are wanted on arrest warrants for accessory and conspiracy charges.
Brown released the description of a vehicle suspected of being used in the homicide. The burgundy Ford Expedition, with license number 4XUN330, has damage to the rear driver side. It was last seen April 6 on Highway 4 traveling toward the area where Moreno’s body was discovered.
Brown said it appears the three suspects are on the run.
Brown said detectives have gathered evidence from a crime scene in Stockton. Moreno and her boyfriend lived together but details of the suspected homicide have not been released. Brown said the homicide occurred between April 5 and April 6.
Investigators have found a lot of evidence due to multiple tips from people, Brown said.
