Modesto police investigate fatal solo-vehicle crash near Johansen High School
The Modesto Police Department is investigating a fatal solo-vehicle crash that occurred near Johansen High School early Friday morning.
Around 2:40 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Creekwood Drive and Edenton Way to find a gray 2016 Toyota sedan.
The driver, who has not been identified, was ejected from the Toyota and pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
A preliminary investigation suggests the Toyota was traveling southbound on Creekwood Drive when the driver lost control, striking a concrete wall and a tree.
The exact cause of the crash is still being investigated.
