It’s time to grab your matching pajamas and mugs of hot cocoa, Stanislaus County.
Homes across the Modesto area are dressed up for the holidays with light displays, inflatable decorations and more. Some of them even have music that plays as the lights dance.
Here’s The Modesto Bee’s guide to the best holiday lights in the area, based on submissions sent from our readers. The Bee independently verified some of the entries.

Modesto
3313 Bridgeford Lane
This house has over 30,000 LED lights choreographed to more than 30 songs on 96.1 FM. Visitors can also see a 17-foot-tall Christmas tree with 7,200 lights and a 1,000-light pair of angel wings, perfect for photos.
The lights are on 5:30 to 10 p.m. daily.
1511 Enslen Ave.
Inflatable Christmas decorations are up 6 to 10 p.m., Friday through Sunday.
2245 Lambert St.
This display has more than 40 decorations, an arch, nutcrackers and a nativity set.
It’s lit up from 5:30 to 9 p.m. daily.
2200 Lodgepole Circle
New lights are added to this display “daily.” There is also a unicorn in a candy cane corral.
You can see it from dusk until dawn.
2816 Newhall Court
“Newhall Lights” is a Christmas light show that includes around 10,000 pixels synced to 10 Christmas hits. The show includes homemade props, eight pixel arches, and four homemade pixel “mega stars” on the roof.
Also on display is a 20-foot Christmas tree with 3,200 lights. You can listen in your car on 91.1 FM, and see the lights between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
2521 Piazza Court
This light show at this house is synced to 15 songs. The house has a “mega tree” display plus eight singing characters and arches.
The display is active from 5 to 10:20 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
321 N Santa Ana Ave.
The entire house, including all of the windows, is decorated with lights and garlands.
The lights are on 5 to 11 p.m. daily.
Sarah Therese Way
This house has a traditional static display featuring a 20-foot inflatable snowman. The residents have been collecting snowman decor for around 20 years, and have nearly 50 on display.
The display is up and the lights are on every day from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
1236 Sycamore Ave.
This house displays 15,000 color-changing lights synchronized with family-friendly music. You can “listen to the lights” by tuning to 87.9 FM.
The show operates from dusk to 9 p.m. daily.
1709 Teakwood Drive
This house has a theme with thousands of red and white lights that cover the roof, hang from trees and line the yard. There are Noel and Christmas bells on the roof.
The lights are on throughout the night.
1116 Virginia Ave.
This “Christmas cottage beauty” lights up the Virginia Corridor between 5 and 8 p.m. on weekdays, and later on weekends.
221 Virginia Ave.
In front of this house sits a “Christmas car.” This is the 20th year the owner has decorated their car for the holidays.
You can see it after sundown daily.
1947 Vivian Road
This house has a “huge display of things” including a large sleigh, giant ornaments on 25-foot towers, “tons” of lights and many inflatable decorations.
You can see it between dusk and 10 p.m.
Oakdale
Atlas Court
Each house in the court has a large lights display synchronized to music.
The lights are on 5:30 to 10 p.m. on weeknights, and 5:30 to 11 p.m. on weekends.
Hughson
7600 Amber Place
The display features thousands of lights that are synced with holiday songs on 107.5 FM.
You can tune in between 5 and 10 p.m. daily.
Riverbank
5409 Chronicle Court
This house has a lights display choreographed to music, and a large tree in the center with thousands of LED lights.
You can view the lights 5 to 9 p.m. daily.
Turlock
Deanna Court
The street known as Christmas Tree Lane in Turlock has different themes at each house, plus matching inflatable ornaments.
The displays can be viewed daily from sunset to 10 p.m.
2200 Oak Crest Drive
This house has a nutcracker-themed display with thousands of lights and custom-made figurines.
The lights are on from 5 to 11:30 p.m. daily.
1405 Lambert Way #3
There are “tons of lights around the home,” which you can see throughout the night.
