Tuolumne deputies find body in Sonora storage unit while serving search warrant

The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death after finding a body in a storage unit while serving a search warrant, authorities said.

The search warrant was executed on Thursday at Purely Storage on Eagle Ridge Road in Sonora, according to a post on the sheriff’s Facebook page.

Detectives have deemed the death suspicious. The department did not release any information about the decedent, including gender or age, the reason for the search warrant or if anyone has been questioned in connection with the investigation.

Authorities ask anyone who has any information related to this case to contact Detective Jeff Lee at 209-694-2955.
