Coronavirus update, Dec. 11: Stanislaus reaches 1,441 deaths, 82,412 positive tests
Stanislaus County added three deaths to COVID-19 on Friday, for a total of 1,452 since the first was announced in April 2020.
Positive tests rose by 133 to 82,412, the Health Services Agency said. Stanislaus has 1,048,600 negative test results and 79,659 people who are presumed recovered.
Other details:
Hospital cases: The county’s five hospitals had 78 patients with confirmed COVID-19 on Friday, up from 73 on Thursday. Adults in intensive care increased by two to 24.
Vaccines: As of Friday, 83.2% of eligible county residents (5 and older) had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 58.7% were fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The county has public vaccine clinics that each offer all three types: Pfizer (5 and older), Moderna (18+) and Johnson & Johnson (18+). The schedule through Dec. 18:

California has administered 61,965,503 vaccine doses as of Friday, according to the Centers for Disease for Control and Prevention. The state ranks 12th in the country, with 156,826 doses per 100,000 residents. Vermont ranks first, Idaho 50th among the states.
It’s important to note that if you’ve had part or full vaccination, wearing a mask and keeping with all the safety precautions like social distancing in some circumstances is still recommended by the CDC. Also, those who have had COVID-19 still need to be vaccinated.
