Coronavirus update, Oct. 30: Stanislaus sets 15 vaccine clinics, one with free tacos
Stanislaus County reported seven deaths to COVID-19 on Friday and 230 new cases.
A total of 1,357 residents have died since April 2020, the Health Services Agency said.
Positive tests stand at 78,184. Stanislaus also has 948,110 negative test results and 75,142 people who are presumed recovered.
Other details:
Hospital cases: The county’s five hospitals had 125 patients with confirmed COVID-19 on Friday, up three from Thursday. Adults in intensive care rose by two to 31.
Positivity rates: On the state dashboard Friday, where numbers reflect the previous day, the seven-day positivity rate was 7.5%, up from 7.0% a day ago and an increase of 0.8% from the prior seven days. The rolling seven-day rate a month ago was 7.8%.
Vaccines: As of Friday, 86.7% of eligible county residents (those 12 and older) had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 60.7% were fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The county will have 15 vaccine clinics through Nov. 6. Each of them offers all three types: Pfizer (12 and older) Moderna (18+) and Johnson & Johnson (18+).
One of the Saturday, Oct. 30, clinics has free tacos for anyone who gets vaccinated or receives information about COVID-19. It will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m at the Stanislaus County Library, 1500 I St., Modesto.

It’s important to note that if you’ve had part or full vaccination, wearing a mask and keeping with all the safety precautions like social distancing in some circumstances is still recommended by the Centers for Disease for Control and Prevention.
