Coronavirus update, Oct. 26: Stanislaus adds three deaths, 431 cases over weekend
Stanislaus County added three deaths to COVID-19 and 431 cases over the three days ending Monday.
A total of 1,338 residents have died from the virus since the first was reported in April 2020, the Health Services Agency said..
Positive tests stand at 77,563. Stanislaus also has 935,762 negative test results and 74,558 people who are presumed recovered.
Other details:
Hospital cases: The county’s five hospitals had 120 patients with confirmed COVID-19 on Monday, up from 116 on Friday. Adults in intensive care dipped by two to 32.
Positivity rates: On the state dashboard Monday, where numbers reflect the previous day, the seven-day positivity rate was 5.9%, the same from the previous day and a decrease of 1% from the prior seven days. The rolling seven-day rate a month ago was 8.3%.
Vaccines: As of Monday, 86.1% of eligible county residents (those 12 and older) had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 60.2% were fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

California has administered 53,283,990 vaccine doses as of Monday, according to the CDC tracker. The state ranks 14th in the country, with 134,854 doses per 100,000 residents. Vermont ranks first, West Virginia 50th among the states.
It’s important to note that if you’ve had part or full vaccination, wearing a mask and keeping with all the safety precautions like social distancing in some circumstances is still recommended by the Centers for Disease for Control and Prevention. Also, those who have had COVID-19 still need to be vaccinated.
