Modesto’s Crosspoint asking for donations of PPE supplies, food at drop-off location
CrossPoint Community Church is calling for donations to help Stanislaus County health care teams cope with the coronavirus pandemic.
Three times this week, starting Tuesday afternoon, the downtown Modesto church at 11th and Needham streets will have a drive-up, drop-off donation spot in its back parking lot.
CrossPoint will collect any new, unopened medical supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks of all types such as N-95, surgical and industrial. Also needed are hand sanitizers, Clorox wipes, toilet paper, canned food and blankets.
Unwanted, functioning tablets, such as iPads, can be donated for seniors practicing social isolation.
The days and times are as follows:
- Tuesday, March 24, 2-4 p.m.
- Thursday,, March 26, 2-4 p.m.
- Saturday, March 28, 1-4 p.m.
Loveourneighbors.org, part of Love Modesto, is also calling out for volunteers and offering assistance for neighbors in need.
