We’ve reached the last contest in the “best in Stanislaus County” poll series. Can you believe five weeks have flown by since you all decided on the county’s best coffee shop?

You will now choose the best home-based business. This can be a crochet shop, a cookie decorator, a jam maker or any other business that operates inside a home (nominees can sell from home, at farmers markets, at vendor events or inside shops if their permit allows).

Santa’s not the only one watching this holiday season. The health department can put your favorite business owner on the naughty list, too, so make sure it has any required permits to operate before you nominate it.

For this contest, we are not looking for multilevel marketing business operators such as those selling Scentsy or doTerra.

If you have questions about what qualifies as a home business for this contest, email dwilliams@modbee.com.

Nominations will begin Tuesday, Dec. 23, and end on Christmas Day.

Finalists will be named Friday, and voting will last through Sunday, Dec. 28. The winner will be featured Monday.

Fill out the form below or email the above address with your answer by 5 p.m. Thursday.
