New Vintage Faire eatery serves Korean corn dogs and flavored fries in Modesto

Vintage Faire Mall’s newest restaurant opened Wednesday, serving Korean-style corn dogs and flavored fries in Modesto.

Potato Stop is the first eatery on the right-hand side of the food court when entering from outside. It sits next to Cold Stone Creamery, near the indoor playground.

It operates the same hours as the mall: Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

What’s on the menu at Potato Stop?

Potato Stop has a relatively simple menu consisting of Korean-style corn dogs, fries, chicken and milk teas. There are several ways to customize each item.

The four styles of corn dog are original, potato, Hot Cheetos and ramen. Prices range from $5.49-$5.99.

Corn dogs can be upgraded to beef sausage or half mozzarella, half sausage for $1 more, whole mozzarella for 50 cents more or plant-based sausage for $1.50 more.

A mega-fry bucket is $7.90 and a giga-fry bucket is $8.90. There are six styles of fries to choose from: original, tater tots, Jojo chips, loopy (50 cents extra) and sweet potato ($1 extra).

The six flavor options are barbecue, cheddar, chili barbecue, sour cream and onion, wasabi and garlic Parmesan. Chili cheese fries are $9.90 for a mega size.

Chicken poppers come in a seven-piece order for $9.10 or 11 pieces for $11.90. Chicken tenders are three pieces with one dip included for $7.30, or six pieces with two dips for $11. Wings are six pieces with one dip for $9.10, 12 pieces with two dips for $14 or 18 pieces with three dips for $18.40.

Dip options are 79 cents each and include barbecue, Buffalo, Thai chili, garlic Parmesan, ranch and honey mustard.

Along with soft drinks and lemonade, Potato Stop serves milk teas. They are $5.20 for a regular-size cup and $5.95 for a large.

The flavors are original, taro, matcha, strawberry matcha, Okinawa, brown sugar, strawberry, horchata and vanilla. Customers can add tapioca boba, crystal boba, lychee, rainbow jelly, strawberry popping boba, mango popping boba, grape popping jelly or strawberry popping jelly.
