Modesto getting another Dutch Bros. See where, when it might open
Caffeine lovers on the east side of Modesto soon will have another option for their morning brew when Dutch Bros opens this fall.
Construction has started on a site at 3303 Yosemite Blvd. between O’Reilly Auto Parts and Auto Zone Auto Parts stores. This location will be the fourth one in Modesto, joining a location on Carpenter Road and two on McHenry Avenue.
Dutch Bros was started in 1992 in Grants Pass, Oregon, by two brothers of Dutch descent. The majority of locations are in the West, but the chain has over 1,000 locations across 20 states. It has been rapidly expanding in Stanislaus County, with eight locations spread across Ceres, Oakdale, Turlock, Riverbank and Patterson.
This ninth location will employ about 40 baristas or “broistas.” Dutch Bros locations are unique in that they have no inside seating; all kiosks are drive-thru plus a walk-up window for face-to-face ordering. Upbeat and energetic music booms from most locations as cheerful teens take your order on iPads.
Dutch Bros offers classic coffee favorites in addition to matcha, smoothies, sparkling sodas, iced teas, blended drinks and protein coffee. It also serves an exclusive Dutch Bros Rebel Energy drink and seasonal offerings. A previous Bee story detailed that drink concoctions and combinations are seemingly endless, with over 1,000 possibilities and 150 secret menu items. Dutch Bros has a limited snack menu of muffin tops and granola bars, too.
While no specific opening date was given, the location is on track to open in late fall or early winter. For more information, visit. www.dutchbros.com.
