Update May 29: These Stanislaus County restaurants reopen dine-in service after coronavirus shutdown
With restaurants in Stanislaus County now allowed to reopen their dining rooms, the only question left is what’s for dinner?
On Wednesday the state granted the county’s variance, allowing dine-in restaurants and other retailer to reopen just in time for Memorial Day weekend. Establishments must follow social distancing rules and keep tables 6-feet apart, among other new healthy and safety protocols to continue to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
But after some eight weeks of shutting their dining rooms and offering only takeout, many area restaurants welcomed the news. Some opened their doors right away, others more slowly. Diners should call ahead when possible to check hours, procedures and if reservations are necessary.
