GivingTuesday: Contribute now to local charities via ‘A Book of Dreams’

Today is #GivingTuesday, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving that celebrates charitable giving at the beginning of the holiday season.

What better way to participate than to join fellow residents, businesses and organizations who have already contributed to “A Book of Dreams,” The Bee’s annual fundraiser seeking contributions to agencies that support our community.

Last year, “A Book of Dreams” raised over $82,000 for agencies dedicated to helping the homeless.

This year, our focus is on organizations that help the children and youth of Stanislaus County and its surrounding cities.

Below is a list of this year’s agencies, along to links on their stories — Haven Youth Center and LearningQuest will be profiled over the next two Sundays — along with our contributors list and a link to donate.
