WHAT YOU DO: Stand-up comedy

HOW YOU KNEW: Stand-up comedy raised me as a child – watching stand-up like Roseanne Barr, Chris Rock and the late Patrice O’Neal. I’ve always loved the fearlessness of stand-up comedy and the art behind it. I was and still am a fan of stand-up comedy. I went to an open mike in Modesto at Hero’s Sports Bar & Lounge. And I started writing and did 5 minutes. And I never looked back and 7 1/2 years later I’m still at it. I love making a career of it.

GO AHEAD, BRAG: I’m proud to have filmed my one-hour DVD at the Gallo Center for the Arts in downtown Modesto titled “Thank You for Listening to Nothing.” The DVD is featured on Pandora, Spotify and Google Play. I’m the 2011 Modesto Area Music Association Award winner for Best Comedian. I was a top five finalist in the Big Sky Comedy Festival in Montana, which is one of the largest comedy festivals in the U.S. I am a regular at Laughs Unlimited in Sacramento, Tommy T’s clubs in Pleasanton and Rancho Cordova and the Punch Line comedy clubs in San Francisco and Sacramento. I recently won the ModestoView Clean Comedy Competition.
