SOCIETY FOR DISABILITIES
NEEDED: Volunteers 15 and older on June 18 from 8 a.m. 2 p.m. at the Day on the Farm in Oakdale. The event introduces individuals with disabilities to activities typically seen on a horse ranch, including horseback riding, hayrides, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, and a barbecue cook out to celebrate the day of fun and adventure. STANISLAUS COUNTY MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS DISASTER SHELTERING EXERCISE
NEEDED: Volunteers 13 and older June 11 to serve as disaster victims displaced from their homes. Volunteers will go through the sheltering process and given scenario scripts to act out that include health issues and other challenges often encountered in a shelter environment to provide exercise training participants with “real world” experience. BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF STANISLAUS COUNTY
NEEDED: Volunteers 18 and older are needed to help in the Summer Camp program located at one local elementary school and one club site starting through Aug. 5 . Tasks will include helping during activities and sports and possibly chaperoning on field trips.Applicants must fill out a volunteer application and attend an orientation.
