Eggs, take cover: You have a pastel-colored target on your backs as children set out this weekend at the annual Easter hunts.

The Easter Bunny will be out in force, as well, visiting several locations across the region during events sponsored by churches, organizations, communities and businesses.

Many hunts also will feature other family activities, from entertainment to games, food and more.

Here’s a look at some of the Easter egg hunt events set for Saturday and Sunday.

▪  Funworks Easter Egg Hunt – March 26: Staggered hunts, for ages 5 and younger and 6-12. Free attractions, tokens and other specials. Freddy Foreman will make a special appearance. 9 a.m. Funworks, 3407 Coffee Road, Modesto. Free. 209-549-7888.

▪  Easter Egg Express – March 26-27: The Sierra Dinner Train offers a 45-minute train ride, kid-friendly entertainment and egg hunt at Woods Park with the Easter Bunny. 10 a.m. and noon departures March 26, 2 p.m. March 27. Sierra Dinner Train, 330 S. Sierra Ave., Oakdale. $15-$22. 800-866-1690.

▪  Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast – March 26: Pancake breakfast, egg hunt, games, crafts, activities. 8-10 a.m. breakfast, 10 a.m. egg hunt. Geneva Presbyterian Church, 1229 E. Fairmont Ave., Modesto. Adults $4, age 3-10 $2.50, age 2 and under free.

▪  Easter Kidz Blitz – March 26: Modesto’s Neighborhood Church holds its egg hunt with inflatables, face painting, family games, more. 10 a.m. at Sisk Elementary School, 5337 Sugar Creek Lane, Salida. Free. 209-529-8900. www.yourmnc.com.

▪  209 Rustbuckets Car Club Show and Egg Hunt – March 26: A car show and Easter egg hunt will include bounce houses, kids activities and live entertainment. Open to kids up to 10 years old. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Hatch Park, 5506 Jennie Ave., Keyes. $10 car entry free, free for egg hunt.

▪  Modesto Reservoir Easter Egg Hunt – March 26: Visit the Easter Bunny with photos, face painting, balloon animals and more, sponsored by Stanislaus County Parks & Recreation Department and Stanislaus County Police Activities League. Egg hunts for ages 3-5, 6-8 and 9-11. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Modesto Reservoir, 18143 Reservoir Road, Waterford. $10 per vehicle. 209-525-6750.

▪  Family Fun Day Easter Egg Hunt – March 26: King-Kennedy Center family event featuring Easter egg hunt, food, games, music and raffles. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Mellis Park, 601 S. Martin Luther King Drive, Modesto. Free. 209-522-6902.

▪  Community Easter Egg Hunt – March 26: Egg hunt for ages 12 and under, refreshments and crafts. 11 a.m. Light of Christ Lutheran Church, 4510 Crowell Road, Turlock. 209-632-5683.

▪  Eggstreme Easter Egg Hunt – March 26: Some 55,000 eggs will be hidden for kids to find. Includes carnival games, pastor’s message and other activities. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The House Modesto, 1601 Coffee Road, Modesto. Free. 209-529-7346.

▪  Modesto Farmers Market Easter Egg Hunt – March 26: The Modesto Certified Farmers Market kicks off its season of offering area produce and specialties with an egg hunt for three age groups up to age 10. Special prize in each age group. Registration at 9 a.m., Hunt begins at 10 a.m. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance. Downtown Modesto, 16th Street between H and I streets. ▪  Easter Egg Hunt – March 27: Coulterville Community Club egg hunt in the park for children 12 and under. Participants bring their own baskets. 11 a.m. Coulterville Park, Highway 49 and Broadway, Coulterville. Free. 209-852-2100.

▪  Columbia’s Victorian Easter Celebration – March 27: Egg hunts in various age groups up to age 12 begin at noon with Victorian Easter Parade at 12:30 p.m. Main Street, Columbia State Historic Park. Free. 209-536-1672 or columbiacalifornia.com.
