YESTERYEARS
75 YEARS AGO: The Ceres City Council passed a resolution on the construction of sewers for parts of the city where no sewers were. The action instructed Mayor S.M. Christiansen to contact authorities to obtain labor for the project. Residents in the new neighborhood on Poplar Avenue had started a petition to ask the council to take the action for sewers.
