Where: Hatch and Ustick roads, on the south bank of the river

50 YEARS AGO: The Stanislaus County History Committee discussed the idea of forming a historical society. After the discussion period, the group suggested the county Board of Supervisors should be the one to approve of the historical society and then give them the ability to use the county library as the society’s central meeting point for business.
