Teen Hall of Fame: Joshua Lagan
Humble, ambitious and athletic, Josh has it all. There is nothing too big or too small that he cannot handle. When it comes to school, he is definitely not your average high school senior. Not only is he ASB president, but he is also part of his school's Senior Ministry Team and on the varsity football, wrestling and swimming teams.
He is also on track to becoming valedictorian and has a 4.71 GPA along with the rank of No. 1 in his class. Josh has those certain qualities that make him a natural-born leader and a mentor to his two younger siblings.
What really separates Josh from most kids his age is that he has been flying Cessna 172 airplanes since he was only 14 and had his first solo flight, at the Tracy airport, just one month after turning 16. Josh is also planning on taking his flying test with the Federal Aviation Administration to obtain his pilot license soon. When Josh is not flying planes or even out on the field practicing for this year's upcoming football season, he enjoys playing the guitar and learning Japanese.
Every summer, Josh also works at his family's business to earn money for flying time and gas money for his 1970 Chevrolet Camaro. This entails working from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by football practice at 3 p.m. After graduating from high school, Josh hopes attend the Air Force Academy in Colorado and earn his degree.
After serving his country for one or two terms, he plans on becoming a commercial pilot or opening his own business as a private pilot.

FAVORITE TV SHOWS: "Two and a Half Men," "That 70s Show" and "Family Guy"
FAVORITE MOVIES: "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Anchorman"
FAVORITE MUSIC: I like all music ... but if I had to choose, it would have to be classic rock 'n' roll.
BIGGEST FEAR: That's a tough one ... probably being alone.
WHAT I'D TELL THE PRESIDENT: Congratulations and continue the hard work.
ADVICE FOR KIDS: Stop trying to be adults. You have decades to do that, but you only have a few years to be a kid. So, go outside and have fun!
ADVICE FOR ADULTS: Support your kids for who they are and not what you want them to be. If you don't have any kids, do the same for yourself.
WHERE I'LL BE IN 10 YEARS: I have no clue. I wouldn't want to limit myself, now would I?
