Here’s our weekly glance at the many programs for children and adults offered by the Stanislaus County Library system’s 13 branches. Some programs are ongoing; others are special events, and all are free and open to the public:

DANCE EXERCISE •  Ongoing

Weekly dance exercise classes conducted by certified instructors. Presented in partnership with Sierra Vista Child and Family Services. Participants must complete waiver. Adults only; no child care provided. 6 p.m. Mondays. Salida Library, 4835 Sisk Road. (209) 543-7353.

KNITTING AND CROCHET CLASSES •  Ongoing

UNCLE JER’S TRAVELING BEE SHOW •  Monday, June 15

Uncle Jer’s Traveling Bee Show presents information on the history of bees, honey production and bee safety through an interactive puppet show. Two presentations, 10:30 a.m. Keyes Library, 4420 Maud Ave., and 1 p.m. Modesto Library, 1500 I St. (209) 558-7810.

YOGA WITH ROSA •  Tuesday, June 16

SUPER WOMEN CRAFT •  Tuesday, June 16

COMIC STRIP MAGNET CRAFT •  Tuesday, June 16

TURLOCK FIRE HEROES •  Tuesday, June 16

Celebrating community superheroes from the Turlock Fire Department who will talk about fire safety. Craft opportunity and close-up look at a fire truck. 4 p.m. Turlock Library, 550 Minaret Ave. (209) 664-8100.

FAMILY DINNER AND MOVIE NIGHT •  Tuesday, June 16

POPSICLE STICK PICTURE FRAME CRAFT •  Wednesday, June 17

GIANT GAME DAY •  Wednesday, June 17

CHILDREN’S HAWAIIAN CRAFT DAY •  Wednesday, June 17

AS SEEN ON PINTEREST • Wednesday, June 17

COMMUNITY HEROES CRAFT •  Thursday, June 18

LIGHT SWITCH CRAFT •  Thursday, June 18

Tweens, teens and adults can create a superhero light switch plate using old comic books. Individuals may bring in their own images. 3 p.m. Keyes Library, 4420 Maud Ave. (209) 664-8006.

LEGO PLAY DAY •  Thursday, June 18

BUILD A STRUCTURE •  Thursday, June 18

Building STEAM with Día Family Book Club, featuring a reading of “Rosie Revere, Engineer” by A. Beaty and building a structure using gumdrops and toothpicks. WINDOW CLINGS CRAFT •  June 23

HERO MASKS CRAFT •  June 23

SUPERHERO STAMP SHIRT CRAFT •  June 24

Participants can make a unique superhero shirt using pencil erasers and pint. Bring a T-shirt to turn into a custom superhero shirt. Craft paint, stencil and erasers provided. 1 p.m. Keyes Library, 4420 Maud Ave. (209) 664-8006.

LEGO PLAY DAY •  June 24

STAR PAINTINGS •  June 24

SUPERHERO PARTY •  June 24

BUTTON MAKER CRAFT •  June 24

LEGO AND GAME DAY JUNIOR •  June 25

PERLER BEAD CRAFT •  June 25

SUPERHERO BOOKMARK/MAGNET CRAFT •  June 25

SUPERHERO TRAINING ACADEMY •  June 25

With an official superhero checklist, participants will complete five challenges to earn a Superhero Certificate. Challenges include making a superhero mask and cuffs, reading to develop brain power, projectile target practice to develop hand-eye coordination, using your senses to develop X-ray vision and disposing of kryptonite in order to decontaminate the library. 3:30 p.m. Oakdale Library, 151 S. SCRAPBOOKING FUN •  June 27

Join local scrapbooker Anna Soto at a series of free programs to learn about and practice scrapbooking. Some materials will be available but you are encouraged to bring your own; bring your own pictures. 12:30 p.m. Modesto Library, 1500 I St. (209) 558-7814.

SHRINKY DINK CRAFT •  June 30

DUCT TAPE KEY CHAIN CRAFT •  June 30

SUPERHEROES READING CHALLENGE PROGRAM •  June 30

TURLOCK POLICE DEPARTMENT •  June 30
