Moms treated to high tea at McHenry Mansion

The McHenry Mansion hosted its annual Mother’s Day Tea on Saturday. Mother’s and their loved ones were invited to enjoy a high tea setting with finger sandwiches, sweets and more. Visitors could also tour the historic home which was finished in 1883 and typifies the high Victorian Italianate style of architecture popular at the time. About 75 families attended the festivities, which were part of the area’s Mother’s Day festivities.
