CENTRAL CALIFORNIA ART ASSOCIATION
NEEDED: Volunteers 21 and older to be trained as Mistlin Gallery docents. Docents work 3 to 4 hour shifts twice a month Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 am to 5 p.m. and Saturday noon to 4 p.m. at the gallery, 1015 J St., Modesto. Docents handle sales, greet the public and do light chores. An interview and 9 to 12 training hours are required. Hospitality volunteers 18 and older are also needed for special events. Volunteers set up, serve and clean up refreshments and greet visitors for Third Thursday Art Walk from 5 to 9 p.m.

DOCTORS MEDICAL CENTER
NEEDED: Volunteers 25 and older to commit to two 3.5 hour shifts per month for at least one year for the Service League volunteer program. Volunteers receive a 25-hour training orientation. Prospective volunteers must be dependable, organized, work well with people, complete the application process and pass a background check.

HOPE HAVEN WEST
NEEDED: Volunteers 18 and older to help in the warehouse sorting, boxing assembling and packing wheelchairs. Hope Haven West collects discarded and used wheelchairs from throughout Central California. The warehouse is at 1324 Coldwell Ave. Volunteer opportunities are on Mondays and Fridays from 8 a.m.-noon.

SOCIETY FOR
DISABILITIES
NEEDED: Volunteers to help the development department in marketing and fundraising which includes outreach and social media. Volunteers will be trained to represent the agency at health fairs, fundraising events, and other marketing activities.

STANISLAUS ANIMAL SERVICES AGENCY
NEEDED: Volunteers 16 and older to socialize, exercise, and care for adoptable animals and assist the public with adoptions. Flexible shifts available Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Must have basic knowledge of animal care and animal handling, complete application process and attend an orientation.

STANISLAUS COUNTY HEALTH SERVICES AGENCY
NEEDED: : Volunteers 18 years of age or older for at least one day a week for a minimum of six months. Gain on-the-job experience while assisting agency departments, public health and our clinics with your clerical and computer skills. STANISLAUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
NEEDED: Volunteers 22 and older for the STARS program. STARS volunteers work in many roles including patrolling the county, court security, jail assistance, vacation house checks, neighborhood watch and more. Must be able to commit to at least 10 hours a month, pass an oral board, pass a background investigation.

TURLOCK HISTORICAL SOCIETY
NEEDED: Volunteers 18 and older to work as Turlock Historical Museum docents, working at least once a month. Docents greet the public, answer phone calls, handle sales and do light chores.
