Get your green on at St. Pat’s events across Modesto region

Glasses will be raised, “sláinte“ will be proclaimed and Irish eyes will be ... well, you know.

Smiles and green beer abound at a handful of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations planned across the region. Here are a few on tap:

P. Wexford’s Pub party – March 17: Irish pub celebrates its annual outdoor St. Patrick’s Day Party with music by Johnny & Kelly, Strange Brew and Gotcha Covered, as well as DJ sets by Jason Gulley and DJ Tease. There will be Irish food, drinks and other specials available at the 21-and-older event. 2 p.m. to closing, P. Wexford’s Pub, 3313 McHenry Ave., Modesto. $10 before 3 p.m., TBA after. (209) 576-7939

Galletto celebration – March 17: Bagpipers, green beer, whiskeys and corned beef are featured at the restaurant’s annual St. Patrick’s Irish/Italian Celebration. 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Galletto Ristorante, 1101 J St, Modesto. Prix fix meal $15; reservations required in advance. (209) 523-4500.

Gervasoni’s celebration – March 17: St. Patrick’s Day Celebration again will bring live music, corned beef and cabbage and more to the restaurant. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Gervasoni’s, 712 Ninth St., Modesto. (209) 523-1961.

Lucky Fest – March 21: Billed as the Valley’s largest pub crawl, this event will take over downtown Modesto with 25 custom pubs, games, live entertainment and dancing. The 21-and-older event begins at 3 p.m. $12 general, $20 fast pass in advance; $20 general, $30 fast pass at the gate. www.modestoluckyfest.com

Murphys Irish Day – March 21: This community celebration features a pancake breakfast, Irish Day parade, bagpipers, singers, dancers, musicians and jugglers, as well as kids activities and pony rides. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free. Main Street, Murphys.

Women of Ireland – March 21: Stage show with Irish and Celtic music, song and dance features step dancers, including three from Riverdance, the lead dancer with Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance and guest male dancer Anthony Fallon, the four-time world champion and former lead with Riverdance. 8 p..m.
