At the libraries: Activities for kids and adults abound

A weekly glance at the many programs for children and adults offered by the Stanislaus County Library system’s 13 branches. Some programs are ongoing, others are special events and all are free and open to the public:

KNITTING AND CROCHET CLASSES ▪  Ongoing

WIGGLE WORMS ▪  Ongoing

STEAM WORKS: SKELETONS ▪  Jan. 3

GREAT VALLEY MUSEUM: WEATHER, CLOUDS AND WATER ▪  Jan. 3

EDIBLE ENGINEERING: IGLOO BUILDING ▪  Jan. 5

Learn some fun facts about igloo history and construction while creating an edible miniature of this traditional Inuit shelter. Each child will be provided with marshmallows, sugar cubes, frosting, and pretzels to create their own sweet version of an igloo. Join the group as we build a zany, fun, gravity-defying marble run.
