Maybe you’ve purchased tickets to see country music superstar Clint Black perform over the years in the Modesto region, but your chance to see him for free is coming.
OK, mostly free.
Black is among the artists set to perform on the Stanislaus County Fair’s Modelo Variety Free Stage this summer, according to a press release.
Shows there are ticket-free with price of fair admission.
Black has played previously in the region — at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, Turlock Community Theatre and Ironstone Vineyards Amphitheatre in Murphys.
He’s performed at the Gallo Center multiple times, most recently in 2021.
It won’t be his first stop at the county fair in Turlock, either. He played the free stage in 2011.
Black’s many hits include “A Better Man,” “Killin’ Time,” “When My Ship Comes In,” “A Good Run of Bad Luck,” “Summer’s Comin’,” “Like the Rain” and “Nothin’ But the Taillights,” according to the release.
He will be the fair opener, playing July 10. He’s the latest performer announced to appear on this year’s county fair free stage.
Country band Diamond Rio will be there July 13, and pop group 3OH!3 will play July 15.
More shows are expected to be announced over the coming months for annual the 10-day expo.
The 2026 Stanislaus County Fair will run July 10-19 at the fairgrounds, 900 N. Broadway in Turlock. See www.stancofair.com for more.
