Modesto native and celebrity interior designer Jeremiah Brent has his own home design collection at Crate & Barrel.
Brent, a Modesto High graduate, also is a cast member of reality makeover show “Queer Eye” on Netflix. He’s married to fellow celebrity designer Nate Berkus.
“His new collection with Crate & Barrel further exemplifies the new modernist style he’s made his signature, which — in his own words — means the intersection of the old and new; “how you showcase your collection and how you bring things together — different eras and different design styles,” an online Architectural Digest story said.
Brent’s pieces feature antique details and accent pieces, wood and marble items, according to the story. “Particular standouts are a walnut and parchment media console, faux-fur pouf ottomans with an angular chrome base, a unique performance velvet sectional, and a particularly striking set of dining chairs.”
The collection highlights neutrals to allow patrons to express their individuality. “I don’t want to create homes that look like me 10 different ways. I just don’t,” Brent said in the AD story. “I want to create spaces that feel like the people that live in them.”
His pieces can be purchased in stores and on the Crate & Barrel website, www.crateandbarrel.com/collaborations/jeremiah-brent-collection/1.
The closest stores to the Modesto region are in Roseville, San Jose, Walnut Creek and Palo Alto.
Brent got his start in reality TV in 2011 on Bravo’s “The Rachel Zoe Project.”
He’s also appeared in shows with Berkus, such as “Nate & Jeremiah by Design” on TLC and “The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project” on HGTV.
