Are Stanislaus County movie theaters showing ‘Stranger Things’ finale? Only one
It’s been nearly a decade since the first season of the “Stranger Things” television series was released, and to make the season 5 finale grand, Netflix has announced that viewers will have the option to watch it in select theaters.
The first showing at over 500 theaters in the U.S. and Canada will play at 5 p.m. PT to align with the finale’s global premiere on the streaming platform, according to Netflix. The runtime is two hours, five minutes.
In Stanislaus County, only one theater will play the “Stranger Things” finale: Galaxy Theatres Riverbank IMAX.
How to get tickets to ‘Stranger Things’ finale in Riverbank
There will be four showings of the final episode at Galaxy Theatres on New Year’s Eve and four on New Year’s Day.
As of the afternoon of Dec. 3, the first showing at 5 p.m. New Year’s Eve was all but sold out at 94% full. The next showing, at 6 p.m., was 83% full. The 8:30 p.m. showing was 82% full and the 9:30 p.m. showing was 77% full.
The first showing on New Year’s Day is at 9:30 a.m. and was 61% full. The other showings are at 1 p.m. (67% full), 4:30 p.m. (69% full) and 8 p.m. (70% full).
