A double bill of classic rock bands has joined the season lineup at the Fruit Yard Amphitheater.
Three Dog Night and Little River Band will play 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Modesto venue. Tickets are $73-$161. Joining the groups will be Linda Pense & Cold Blood.
Three Dog Night, which included Modesto’s Mike Allsup on guitar for several decades, is known for numerous hit songs from 1969 through the 1970s, including “Easy To Be Hard,” “Joy to the World,” “One,” “Old Fashioned Love Song,” “Black and White,” “Never Been to Spain,” “Pieces of April,” “Mama Told Me (Not to Come)” and more.
Little River Band is known for hits in the 1970s and 1980s such as “Reminiscing,” “Cool Change,” “Lady,” “Lonesome Loser” and “Take It Easy On Me.”
Three Dog Night and Little River Band join Jon Pardi (June 28), Alabama (July 3), “Weird Al” Yankovic (Aug. 23, only limited tickets available), Darius Rucker (Sept. 6) and Chase Rice (Sept. 27) on this year’s lineup at the outdoor venue.
Officially called The Fruit Yard Chicken Ranch Casino Resort Amphitheater, it’s at 7948 Yosemite Blvd. There is lawn seating and reserved seating to accommodate about 3,500 people.
