Modesto native who starred in massive Broadway hit returning home for a concert
There’s a busy week of entertainment coming up in the greater Modesto area. Modesto native and Broadway “Phantom of the Opera” Jeremy Stolle will perform a concert at the Gallo Center, and the State Theatre has tribute acts set. In addition, Graffiti Summer officially get rolling with several events planned.

Jeremy Stolle
Modesto native Jeremy Stolle brings his “No More Talk of Darkness” tour to the Gallo Center. Stolle is an actor, recording artist and singer known for his long-running role as the Phantom in Broadway’s “The Phantom of the Opera,” along with several other theater and touring credits.

“Girls Night”
The off-Broadway hit “Girls Night: The Musical” will pull into the Gallo Center. The comedic production is a look into the lives of a group of female friends. “Audience members can’t help but laugh, cry and sing and dance in the aisles,” the center’s website says.

Amy Winehouse tribute
Valerie: A Tribute to Amy Winehouse is led by a vocalist and supported by a band. The group plays Winehouse’s famous hits, including “Back to Black,” “Rehab” and more. This show marks the first time it’s played at the State Theatre.

Creedence tribute
Returning to the State Theatre is Creedence Revelation, a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival. The group plays the band’s hits from 1968 to 1972, as well as a few of John Fogertys’ solo hits.

Beach Boys tribute
Limited tickets remain for Sierra Repertory Theatre’s “Pet Sounds Live: A Tribute to The Beach Boys.” The show is a live re-creation of “Pet Sounds,” the groundbreaking album by the classic rock group. The production takes audiences behind the scenes of studio sessions with a multimedia and live show.

Apricot fest
The Patterson Apricot Fiesta is an annual celebration of the fruit. The festival features a craft fair, food and beer booths, live entertainment and more. And plenty of apricots, of course. On Saturday, there will be a parade at 10 a.m. and fireworks at dusk.

Bike N’ Trike

Legends of Cruise
More than 300 classic cars will line the streets of downtown Modesto for a Park ‘N’ Shine. The Legends of the Cruise Walk of Fame Ceremony will be joined by “American Graffiti” actress Mackenzie Phillips. The walk of fame, celebrating the “Racers of the Graffiti Era,” will induct eight new members. Phillips also will join local band Third Party after the awards to sing “California Dreamin’.”

Graffiti parade
One of Graffiti Summer’s biggest attractions, the North Modesto Kiwanis American Graffiti Parade kicks off the club’s weekend of events. The cruise features 1,000 vehicles, 1980 and older, that have entered for the show. Mackenzie Phillips is expected to ride in the parade. Key Club members from several Modesto high schools will take part, representing North Modesto Kiwanis as the grand marshal.
