Broadway legend, the inaugural performer at Modesto’s Gallo Center, set for return concert

Patti LuPone helped launch the gala opening of the Gallo Center for the Arts in 2007. The Broadway star is slated to return for the first time since. Her concert is just one of the entertainment options set for the Modesto region from March 29-April 4.

Three-time Tony Award-winner Patti LuPone performs her concert, “Songs From A Hat,” in a return to the Gallo Center since launching the venue at its gala opening. In the unscripted show, she performs her famous and personal favorite songs as she draws them from slips of paper in her top hat.

iLuminate

The company iLuminate performs a fusion of technology and dance. Coming to the Gallo Center, the production features a diverse team that creates “an astonishing visual experience,” according to the theater’s website. “Audiences will see dancers in electrified glow-in-the-dark suits performing dynamic routines and illusions set to great pop and dance music on a darkened stage.”

McCartney tribute

Stroll Down Penny Lane, a live performance featuring the music of Paul McCartney, pulls into the State Theatre. The show includes songs spanning McCartney’s career, including with the Beatles, Wings and beyond. Along with the music, there will be stories, images, animation and more.

Tower of Power

Tower of Power has been performing funk and soul music for more than 50 years. During a show at Turlock Community Theatre, expect hits including “You’re Still A Young Man,” “Down to The Nightclub,” “What Is Hip?” and “So Very Hard to Go.” A VIP Soundcheck Experience package includes a ticket, early entry, access to a Q&A with Tower of Power, a group photo with the band and more.
